A detour road is 1.56 kilometers long, and travellers can use it starting in November. This detour will serve as an alternative to the current problematic road going through the Lozisca village, which is historically protected.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The current road did not have 2-way lines, which was also problematic for tourist buses. So far, the vehicles would pass the road only from one side, which was regulated by the traffic lights. This is why the detour was built. Another investment on the island was <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Korito <\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">tunnel, the first road tunnel on Brac island, over 190 meters long. The construction started in April 2019, and was finished in November 2020. The total value of the project was about 4 million euros.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Another project which will start soon is<\/span><b> a new road between villages Pucisca and Povlja<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. The total value of the project is 8 million euros, 7 of which will be financed by the European Union Funds. The estimated deadline for the project is mid-2022. This is one of the most important projects on Brac, as it will connect the towns of Supetar and Sumartin too, via Pucisca and Povlja. An extremely <\/span><b>important news for locals and guests which travel to Brac<\/b> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ferrycroatia.com\/en\/supetar-ferry-port\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">ferry ports in Supetar<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> and <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.ferrycroatia.com\/en\/sumartin-ferry-port\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Sumartin<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, as they will now more easily reach other parts of the island.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Secondary roads Povlja &#8211; Selca and Pucisca &#8211; Povlja will also be reconstructed. The travel time between northern and eastern parts of the island will be significantly reduced. More precisely, 12.5 kilometers will be <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">saved<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> when traveling from Pucisca to Povlja.
