The aim of the Register of Islands is data and cartographic recording of <strong>78 islands, 524 islets and 642 cliffs<\/strong>, creating databases for the island area that will serve as a basis for the preparation of analytical reports necessary for further guidance and policy of island development.<\/p>\n<p>The register is designed as an integrated information system of island indicators with connection to web services of more than 30 public bodies in the Republic of Croatia that have data on islands within their competence, thus creating a common state information infrastructure. In the Register, the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ferrycroatia.com\/en\/island-pag\/\">island of Pag<\/a> is presented as the island with the <strong>longest coastline<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>The Register also contains a number of other data, such as:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li aria-level=\"1\">The Republic of Croatia has 1,244 islands, islets and cliffs, of which 78 are islands, 524 islets and 642 cliffs<\/li>\n<li aria-level=\"1\">The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ferrycroatia.com\/en\/islands-croatia\/\">Croatian archipelago<\/a> is the <strong>second-largest archipelago<\/strong> <strong>in the Mediterranean<\/strong><\/li>\n<li aria-level=\"1\">Every 32nd inhabitant of the Republic of Croatia is an islander<\/li>\n<li aria-level=\"1\">69.5% of the Croatian coast are islands<\/li>\n<li aria-level=\"1\">Without the islands, the territorial sea of \u200b\u200bthe Republic of Croatia would be two thirds less<\/li>\n<li aria-level=\"1\">The <strong>highest island peak is Vidova Gora<\/strong> on the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ferrycroatia.com\/en\/island-brac\/\">island of Bra\u010d<\/a> with 778 meters above sea level<\/li>\n<li aria-level=\"1\">The island of Pag has the longest coastline<\/li>\n<li aria-level=\"1\">The largest area is the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ferrycroatia.com\/en\/island-cres\/\">island of Cres<\/a><\/li>\n<li aria-level=\"1\">The longest island is the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ferrycroatia.com\/en\/island-hvar\/\">island of Hvar<\/a><\/li>\n<li aria-level=\"1\">The most inhabited island is the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ferrycroatia.com\/en\/island-krk\/\">island of Krk<\/a> with 19,383 inhabitants<\/li>\n<li aria-level=\"1\">The densest settlement is the <strong>island of Krapanj<\/strong><\/li>\n<li aria-level=\"1\">Croatian islands are among the <strong>sunniest parts of Europe<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Croatia invested 24 billion HRK in the islands n last 14 years<\/h3>\n<p>Almost <strong>14 billion HRK<\/strong> has been invested in Croatian islands in the past 14 years, an average of 1.7 billion a year, the Government representative in Parliament pointed out on Wednesday, reporting on the effects of the implementation of the law on islands in 2018 and 2019.<\/p>\n<p>Croatia systematically takes care of its islands, it is clear who invested how much in them, say HDZ members <strong>Danica Bari\u010devi\u0107<\/strong> and <strong>Branka Juri\u010dev Martin\u010dev<\/strong>, who also conveys the request of the islanders to respect the specifics of the islands in the laws.<\/p>\n<p>The islands, which are <strong>49 inhabited<\/strong>, have shown that politics when there are communities, can yield good results, says <strong>Josip Boric<\/strong> (HDZ), satisfied with the state&#8217;s investments and funds being withdrawn from the EU, fleet renewal, and solving landfill problems.<\/p>\n<p>Without disputing the growth of investments in the islands in the two years in question, <strong>Mirela Ahmetovi\u0107<\/strong> (SDP) attributes this not only to the effects of the law but, in the case of her island of Krk, to the management efficiency of the Primorje-Gorski Kotar County.<\/p>\n<p>She is dissatisfied with the fact that <strong>Hrvatska po\u0161ta<\/strong>, which has record profits, has invested only 430 thousand HRK in the islands for the purchase of air conditioners.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Sandra Ben\u010di\u0107<\/strong> (ZLB) emphasizes investment in quality education.
