{"id":6863,"date":"2021-05-31T08:59:01","date_gmt":"2021-05-31T06:59:01","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.ferrycroatia.com\/en\/?p=6863"},"modified":"2022-12-07T16:31:06","modified_gmt":"2022-12-07T15:31:06","slug":"pasman-connected-to-mainland-and-mljet-gets-solar-catamarans","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.ferrycroatia.com\/en\/pasman-connected-to-mainland-and-mljet-gets-solar-catamarans\/","title":{"rendered":"Pasman connected to mainland and Mljet gets solar catamarans"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>One of the most important projects for the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ferrycroatia.com\/en\/island-pasman\/\">island of Pasman<\/a> is a <strong>bridge connecting Pasman to the mainland<\/strong> for which the Municipality of Pasman in September last year received support from the Ministry of the Sea, Transport and Infrastructure, as <a href=\"https:\/\/www.otoci.eu\/pasman-most-otok-kopno\/\">Otoci.eu<\/a> confirms.<\/p>\n<p>A feasibility study for the Pa\u0161man &#8211; mainland bridge will be completed by the end of May and it is developing two conceptual solutions for connecting the island with the mainland via the Pa\u0161man Channel.<\/p>\n<p>On the mainland, the bridge will be connected by the state road D8 with the future bypass Zadar &#8211; Pako\u0161tane, and on the shore of the Pa\u0161man Channel, the route exits at the position of Cape Tuklja\u010da.<\/p>\n<p>From the mainland, the route goes to the islet of Ri\u010dul, about 400 m from the coast and continues towards the island of Pa\u0161man, crossing the Pa\u0161man Channel in the length of about 1400 m. On the island of Pa\u0161man, the bridge connects with the main road of the islands of Pa\u0161man and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ferrycroatia.com\/en\/island-ugljan\/\">Ugljan<\/a>.<\/p>\n<h3>Solar catamarans for touring the National Park Mljet<\/h3>\n<p>The <strong>first solar catamaran<\/strong> of three in the fleet for sailing on the lakes of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ferrycroatia.com\/en\/island-mljet\/\">Mljet<\/a> arrived in 2018 and at the beginning of 2020, all three were put into the function of transporting visitors.<\/p>\n<p>These are catamarans primarily intended for navigation in protected waters, where the electric drive creates a new sailing experience. The only noise and vibration is created by wind and waves. Due to its design, the solar catamaran provides all passengers with excellent visibility to see all the sights of the Mljet National Park.<\/p>\n<p>This replaced the existing diesel-powered ships with new, economical and energy-efficient vessels.
