{"id":7136,"date":"2021-07-16T09:00:00","date_gmt":"2021-07-16T07:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.ferrycroatia.com\/en\/?p=7136"},"modified":"2021-07-14T10:04:07","modified_gmt":"2021-07-14T08:04:07","slug":"jadrolinija-cancelled-reservations-on-the-trpanj-ploce-ferry-due-to-renovations","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.ferrycroatia.com\/en\/jadrolinija-cancelled-reservations-on-the-trpanj-ploce-ferry-due-to-renovations\/","title":{"rendered":"Jadrolinija cancelled reservations on the Trpanj-Ploce ferry due to renovations"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>The <strong>Port Authority of the Dubrovnik-Neretva County <\/strong>confirmed the information from <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ferrycroatia.com\/en\/jadrolinija\/\">Jadrolinija<\/a> that due to the works in the port of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ferrycroatia.com\/en\/peljesac\/\">Peljesac<\/a>, it is <strong>not possible to make a reservation for a vehicle <\/strong>on the ferry line <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ferrycroatia.com\/en\/trpanj-ploce\/\">Trpanj &#8211; Plo\u010de<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Regional institutions state that works on the reconstruction and extension of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ferrycroatia.com\/en\/trpanj-ferry-port\/\">port in Trpanj<\/a> are in progress. Due to the limited area, it is <strong>not possible to organize the waiting for boarding the ferry in such a way as to provide separate columns for vehicles that have a seat reservation and those that do not<\/strong>.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To ensure the boarding of vehicles with a reservation, it was necessary to separate passengers whose vehicles do not have a guaranteed place on deck and keep them in a very limited space, because they were boarding last.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>All of the above had <strong>caused crowds and protests of drivers <\/strong>who did not have a reservation for a place on the ferry, and consequently a <strong>slowdown in boarding<\/strong>. Therefore, Jadrolinija was asked to cancel the possibility of booking on the ferry &#8220;Mljet&#8221; for departures from Trpanj. After the completion of the reconstruction of the port, a larger number of waiting places will be available, and then the possibility of re-introducing the mentioned reservation will be considered.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The county government points out the works on that part of Peljesac as one of the <strong>key port infrastructure projects <\/strong>and their completion is expected around September 15.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The value of the project is 16.5 million kuna, the money is fully secured and after the first two phases, it was announced that the <strong>remaining work will continue during the summer<\/strong>, without interfering with the tourist season.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Source: <a href=\"http:\/\/www.rogotin.hr\/2021\/07\/12\/vrijednost-zahvata-je-165-milijuna-kuna-zbog-obnove-jadrolinija-ukinula-rezervacije-na-trajektu-trpanj-ploce\/#prettyPhoto\">Rogotin.hr<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Port Authority of the Dubrovnik-Neretva County confirmed the information from Jadrolinija that due to the works in the port of Peljesac, it is not possible to make a reservation for a vehicle on the ferry line Trpanj &#8211; Plo\u010de.
