One of the biggest advantages of the Krilo<\/a> catamaran line Dubrovnik – Split<\/a> is no document preparation and border crossing<\/strong>, as is the case in other means of transport.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

Sailing from Dubrovnik starts at 4:30 pm every day, and it should be noted that the catamaran stops in Pomena on Mljet<\/a>, Kor\u010dula<\/a>, Hvar<\/a>, Milna on Bra\u010d<\/a> and arrives in Split just before 9 pm. The price of a one-way ticket is 240 kuna.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

\u2018I\u2019m fine because I\u2019m home\u2019<\/h3>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

Dulist.hr<\/a> interviewed a cheerful five-member crew of Krilo<\/strong>. Passengers are greeted at the entrance by the likeable Josip \u010cupi\u0107. This deck officer, otherwise from Plo\u010de, has been part of the \u2018Krilo\u2019 crew since 2016.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

\r\n

I did one part of the cadetship here, and the other on the long one. I feel good because I am at home and I prefer to work with passengers. I met a lot of people from all over the world.<\/p>\r\n\u010cupi\u0107<\/cite><\/blockquote>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

He hopes that we might be close to those high numbers of 2019 in the next year already<\/strong>. He adds that this year they have around 15,000 passengers per day<\/strong>, which is incomparably better than last year.\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

\r\n

It is convenient to sail with us. The border is avoided, it is a more comfortable way to travel than by bus and car.\u00a0<\/p>\r\n

In about 15 days we will have a crowd. It turns out, every weekend, that we go slowly towards a larger number. For example, last year only August was good. The season was short. I don\u2019t know what this year will happen, but it should be better than last year, anyway.<\/p>\r\n\u010cupi\u0107<\/cite><\/blockquote>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

\u2018We are an old shipping family\u2019<\/h3>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

It is a line maintained by the famous shipping company Kapetan Luka<\/strong>, better known as Krilo<\/strong>. Luka Tomi\u0107<\/strong>, director of the company based in Krilo Jesenice <\/strong>says that his family has been in shipping for generations. The company dates back to the end of 1889.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

\r\n

We are an old shipping family. We always had some boats, but in 2001 we got involved in working with fast boats and in 2004 we focused exclusively on this segment of tourism.<\/p>\r\n

We started our first voyages in 2013. Back then, we only sailed twice a week and as early as the following year, we expanded our driving schedule. In 2014, we ailed throughout the season, then from early May to mid-October, with the exception that we sailed four times a week in the beginning, as well as at the end of the season. In 2015, we started sailing every day throughout the season. Three years before the pandemic, we would start sailing as early as the beginning of April and until the end of October.<\/p>\r\nTomi\u0107<\/cite><\/blockquote>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

One million and 800 thousand passengers<\/h3>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

This year, the company is expected to achieve 55% to 60% from 2019<\/strong>. Otherwise, on all lines, throughout the year, under normal conditions, they would carry between 650 and 700 thousand passengers.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

\r\n

On the lines to Dubrovnik since 2013, we have transported, on all routes, around one million and 800 thousand passengers.<\/p>\r\n

All workers remained in the company throughout the coronavirus period. No one was fired, even though the ships didn\u2019t operate at all for most of the year.<\/p>\r\n
