It will be <strong>one of the largest marine infrastructure projects <\/strong>in the Croatian part of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ferrycroatia.com\/en\/islands-croatia\/\">Adriatic<\/a> that will be co-financed with 85% of EU funds.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The project is worth 87 million kuna and <strong>should be completed within 3 and a half years<\/strong>. The comprehensive project of the new port includes the construction of a primary breakwater, protection of the waters, a new promenade and a new traffic solution.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The news that will surely delight not only the residents of Split-Dalmatia County but also many tourists is the recent start of the <strong>traffic corridor between Split and Omis<\/strong>, a section from which many people have headaches in summer due to unbearable traffic jams.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>According to Transport Minister <strong>Oleg Butkovic<\/strong>, the regulation of road traffic <strong>Solin &#8211; Split &#8211; Omis <\/strong>will be one of Croatia&#8217;s main projects in the new EU financial perspective.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>With the construction of the new port, Omis should get almost 8,000 square meters of the new coastal zone and horticultural arrangement of the waterfront similar to the west coast in Split. It will also get 70 nautical berths and a part of the coast will be arranged for about 60 boats of the local population.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Minister Butkovi\u0107 also announced the imminent start of construction of <strong>two more ports <\/strong>&#8211; <strong>Stomorska <\/strong>on <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ferrycroatia.com\/en\/island-solta\/\">\u0160olta<\/a> and <strong>Bol <\/strong>on <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ferrycroatia.com\/en\/island-brac\/\">Bra\u010d<\/a>.
