The works will last about three and a half years, it was announced after the signing of the contract on that project.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The project of the port of Omi\u0161 integrates the construction of the primary breakwater, protection of the waters, a new promenade and a new traffic solution for that part of the city. As the Minister of the Sea, Transport and Infrastructure <strong>Oleg Butkovi\u0107 <\/strong>pointed out on that occasion, the port of Omi\u0161 is one of the largest sea infrastructure projects in the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ferrycroatia.com\/en\/islands-croatia\/\">Croatian part of the Adriatic<\/a>. It will be co-financed 85% with EU funds.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Omi\u0161 should get almost 8000 square meters of the new coastal zone and horticultural waterfront. It will also get 70 nautical berths and a part of the coast will be arranged for about 60 boats of the local population.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The contract for the execution of works on the project of arranging the port of Omi\u0161 was signed by the director of the Port Authority of the Split-Dalmatia County <strong>Domagoj Maroevi\u0107 <\/strong>and the director of the company Texo Molior <strong>Antonio Deranja<\/strong>. Maroevi\u0107 pointed out that this is a demanding project which will give Omi\u0161 a new promenade and a new urban identity, while Omi\u0161 Mayor <strong>Ivo Tomasovic <\/strong>stressed the importance of the project because the port of Omi\u0161 will change the complete view, as it will enable boat connections between Omi\u0161 and islands.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>During the signing of the contract, the construction of the ports of <strong>Stomorska <\/strong>on <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ferrycroatia.com\/en\/island-solta\/\">\u0160olta<\/a> and <strong>Bol <\/strong>on <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ferrycroatia.com\/en\/island-brac\/\">Bra\u010d<\/a> was announced soon as well as the road traffic <strong>Solin \u2013 Split \u2013 Omi\u0161<\/strong>, where traffic congestion is created during the summer months and which will be one of <strong>Croatia&#8217;s main projects in the new EU financial perspective<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Source: <a href=\"https:\/\/morski.hr\/2021\/08\/11\/sredinom-rujna-pocinje-gradnja-omiske-luke\/\">Morski.hr<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The construction of the city port will begin in Omis in mid-September, a project worth 87 million kuna.
