The start of work has been announced for October 1.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The total value of the project is HRK 90.5 million, of which 85% is co-financed from EU funds, and 15% is co-financed by the Ministry of the Sea, Transport and Infrastructure.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The <strong>estimated duration of the project is 38 months<\/strong>. The aim is to <strong>increase the safety of maritime traffic <\/strong>in the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ferrycroatia.com\/en\/sali-catamaran-port\/\">port of Sali<\/a>, to <strong>provide transport services throughout the year and to further connect Dugi Otok with the mainland<\/strong>. The implementation of the project has a positive impact on improving the accessibility of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ferrycroatia.com\/en\/island-dugi-otok\/\">Dugi Otok<\/a> for its inhabitants.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3>The existing Sali port infrastructure is insufficient<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>The existing port infrastructure of the port of Sali, where the year-round line services of lines 9406 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ferrycroatia.com\/en\/zadar-brsanj\/\">Zadar-Sali-Zaglav-Br\u0161anj-Zadar<\/a> and 406 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ferrycroatia.com\/en\/zadar-sali\/\">Zadar-Sali<\/a> take place, <strong>does not meet current or future security needs due to its technical characteristics<\/strong>.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Due to the current infrastructural condition, <strong>the port needs to be upgraded in order to enable safe and regular maritime traffic<\/strong>, which would meet the needs of the local population.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Unsafe berthing of ships in the port of Sali and irregular maritime traffic negatively affect the quality of life of the local population, which <strong>urgently needs a quality connection to the mainland<\/strong>, for administrative, economic, educational and other reasons.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3>Project interventions<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>The works that will be performed within the project are:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>Construction of the shore in the length of 149.5 m or 141.5 m net length of the mooring line with a provided draft of 4 m which is performed on 72 reinforced concrete piles with a diameter of 800\/870 mm<\/li><li>Landscaping of the coastal area behind the newly built coast<\/li><li>Construction of the main breakwater for protection against waves in a total length of 116 m, which is performed as a structure on 18 drilling reinforced concrete piles with a diameter of 1300\/1380 mm<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>The new shore and the inner side of the main breakwater will be used to moor vessels in public transport, excursion boats and nautical tourism vessels.
