In order to intensify the promotional content, as part of the preparations for the next tourist season, the Tourist Board of the island of Krk<\/a> has focused part of its activities on developing the promotional materials<\/strong>.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

In addition to the redesign of the Krk info brochure<\/strong>, which includes all relevant information for the island, a new tourist map of the island of Krk was published in early September<\/strong>, containing all the most important and clearly structured data on island destinations, in a shortened version.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

It is a B1 format map with contents arranged on two sides. The first contains a map of the island with marked cultural and historical monuments, information centres, general information and advertisements <\/strong>related to previously published cycling and walking maps<\/strong>, while the second includes data on destinations<\/strong>: the City of Krk and the municipalities of Omi\u0161alj, Malinska-Duba\u0161nica, Punat, Baska, Vrbnik and Dobrinj.\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

Each of these destinations is presented with descriptions, recommendations, gastronomic specifics and outdoor activities, and events, cultural and historical sights and other attractions are singled out in separate units. The texts included in the map were published in Croatian, English, German and Italian<\/strong>, while its design was entrusted to Valter Stoj\u0161i\u0107<\/strong>.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

This map will, in the coming period, be available at fairs in which the Tourist Board of the island of Krk will participate, and can currently be downloaded at the tourist information centres of all island destinations, including the Krk Tourist Information Center, Ul. Josip Juraj Strossmayer 9.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

With the intention of adapting to the growing trends of digitalization and with the aim of introducing environmentally friendly solutions, the preparation of a map in the digital version is underway, which will lead to the corresponding QR code.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

Traditional event “Olive Days”<\/h3>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

The traditional event on Krk marks 25 years of existence<\/strong>. Today, the project consists of several events: a special offer of dishes in restaurants based on olives and olive oil, an art exhibition, an exhibition of tools and machines needed in olive growing, professional education, presentations and oil tastings, workshops for children, plain trips and the like.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

The \u2018Olive Days<\/strong>\u2019 event on the island of Krk was launched in 1996 as the first event in Croatia, with the initial idea of a tourist event, olive harvesting for foreign tourists, with the aim of extending the tourist season.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

This year, the event is held in Punat from 13 to 16 October <\/strong>with a rich program.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n
