With the new year come new plans and ambitions. The main ambition for Losinj\u2019s Tourist Board in 2022 is to reach 88% of 2019\u2019s tourist traffic. This plan was discussed at the Tourist Board\u2019s Assembly in December 2021. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Assembly was held in the new conference hall of Punta hotel in Veli Losinj. The plan for 2022 was carried out by Dalibor Cvitkovic, director of the Tourist Board in Losinj. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Among other things, Cvitkovic announced preparations for ideas for the renovation of the viewpoint on Leva in Veli Losinj and the route from the town\u2019s square to the little church of St. Joseph of Brdina in Mali Losinj. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

In May, the walking trail Via Apsyrtides should be completed and open for the public – stretching from the north of Cres <\/strong><\/a>to the south of Losinj island. The plan for 2022, along with other points of discussion were unanimously approved.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In his report for 2021, Cvitkovic said that Losinj island was the sixth most visited tourist destination <\/a>in Croatia while emphasizing the fact that the fourth-placed Vir near Zadar <\/strong>has lots of noncommercial night stays.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

When looking at the categories of accommodation, there were much fewer stays in hotels, while apartments and camps retained their earlier numbers. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Regarding COVID-19, there were 21 thousand tests on tourists in camp Lopari and at Veliko Zalo, but only around 40 confirmed cases of COVID-19.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
