There are no places on the beaches, and there are no bathers either because deck chairs they set up overnight await them. This is the image of most Croatian beaches. But that will no longer be the case in Novi Vinodolski, because those who “leave” props on the beach face fines of up to HRK 1,500, reports RTL.<\/strong><\/p>\n

An irritating tactic for many, which has existed since the days of first bathers. The goal is to take the best place. And the winner is the one who gets the deepest shade or the first row to the sea.<\/p>\n

– We arrive and have nowhere to sit, it’s actually so crowded. It’s the same when you go into the water, people were sweeping towels, you can’t go to the sea – said Dragica Hakalovi\u0107 from Slovenia.<\/strong><\/p>\n

For now, Ba\u0161ka does not function in a way that fines are collected, as they do in some other places, they work according to the principle of warning. So, if you do something like this, it will only be taken away from you for now, but next year you will be fined.<\/p>\n

According to the Municipality, the tourists overdid it. And so, every morning at around six, communal wardens take the towels left behind to a warehouse a few kilometers away, but the owners rarely come to pick them up.<\/p>\n

– It’s countless, it’s piles and piles, let’s say, of these old rags, deflated pillows, some old deckchairs. Last year, only 39 people came to pick up their things, because they usually leave you some older things, not to mention rags or, as they call it on the Adriatic, \u0161trace – said Mayor Toni Jurani\u0107.<\/strong><\/p>\n

I don’t think it’s right that they leave towels overnight, those who come later can’t find a place to bathe. Well, if you come later around 11 o’clock everything will be busy. So it’s not right. We never left a towel overnight – said Mario Baboselac from Slavonski Brod.<\/strong><\/p>\n

There are more decent ways to grab a spot under the sun or in the shade. And they are allowed, just as it is also allowed to walk away from your towels during the day.<\/p>\n

– I come early in the morning, leave, buy bread and in half an hour we are back – said Josip Peri\u0107 from Daruvar.<\/strong><\/p>\n

– Not good. Too much? Too many people. Too many towels and too many people – Martin Bijelik from Slovakia<\/strong> commented for RTL.<\/p>\n

Maybe there are too many people, but where the crowd is not angry, the beach is not narrow or there are communal wardens.<\/p>\n
