Last weekend, a month earlier than last year, the city of Krk achieved one million overnight stays in commercial accommodation. The season on the island is still in full swing, so new tourist records are expected.<\/p>\n

August is ending, but not the tourist season in Krk. It is lively both on the beaches and in the city center.<\/p>\n

– This is our third time spending our vacation on Krk<\/a>. We stayed in the camp, it is very nice. We had good weather, the city is beautiful, the beaches, the sea – that is the reason why we are here – explained Christoph, a guest from Germany.<\/strong><\/p>\n

They go on excursions and visit sights. More than 100,000 visitors passed through the Krk castle this year.<\/p>\n

\u2013 The Frankopan castle was extremely visited this year. Unlike last year, this year we have a lot of Hungarians and Poles. They are very interested in our history, they admire our antiquities – said Alisa \u0160kvorc, cultural interpreter in the Frankopan Castle.<\/strong><\/p>\n

There is no respite for restaurateurs either
\n–\u00a0 There are still a lot of guests, the turnover is high, they are as interested as at the beginning of the season, we are full every night every day. Guests recognize the quality and certainly then return – said Dalibor Perin\u010di\u0107, chef of a restaurant.<\/strong><\/p>\n

They also return to quality housing. The five-star camp caught up with the numbers from 2019.<\/p>\n

– I am here with my family for the fourth time. The camp is beautiful, not too big, the plots are nice, it is quiet. Perfect for the family – thinks Thomas, a guest from Germany.<\/strong><\/p>\n

– Every investment cycle of 3-4 years, we raise the quality of accommodation and complete services in the camp. This returns to us many times over through the price and through the guests who visit us in increasing numbers – explained Bruno Bogdani\u0107, director of the Camping Resort.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Precisely the highly categorized accommodation, which fills up better, is one of the tourist assets of Krk.<\/p>\n

– In the last two years, we have noticed a trend of reducing the capacity of lower categories, 3 and 2 stars, in favor of highly categorized accommodation, especially 5 stars – pointed out Ivana Kova\u010di\u0107, director of the TZ of the City of Krk.<\/strong><\/p>\n

An excellent pre-season, the year-round operation of part of the camps and a successful season are responsible for the fact that the millionth overnight stay was already achieved in mid-August. The announcements are also good for the post-season, so it can be expected that the pre-pandemic 2019 will no longer be mentioned as a record and benchmark in Krk, but this year 2022, writes HRT.<\/strong><\/p>\n
