Šibenik ferry port

Šibenik is a historic city located in the central Dalmatia where the river Krka flows into the Adriatic sea. The ferry terminal is located in a narrow bay, protected from the wind and the waves. The ferry terminal is situated really close to the city centre and all the exciting historical sights, a few minutes walking from the main square, right next to the promenade by the sea. It’s also right next to the train station and around 70 m from the main bus station.

Getting to and from Šibenik port

If you’re staying in Šibenik and if you want to reach the islands of Prvić, Murter, Zlarin or Kaprije, the first thing that you should keep in mind is that Šibenik is quite a small town, so almost all the important parts of the town are in the walking distance. The town centre and all the important historical sights are at around 800 m from the ferry terminal so it’s easy to reach it following the promenade by the sea.

Other popular parts of the town are Crnica and Dolac, located next to centre, so obviously they are also really close to the ferry terminal (walking distance).

However, if you’re with luggage, you can always take a taxi which won’t cost you a lot since it’s a really small distance.

If you’re staying in Solaris or Brodarica (popular tourist destinations located – Solaris 6 km from Šibenik and Brodarica 5 km from Šibenik) you can take a city bus to reach Šibenik. The ticket is around 1-2 euros and all the buses stop at the bus stop near the green market in Šibenik (also minutes away from the ferry terminal).

Getting from Split Airport to Šibenik port

The nearest airport is the airport of Split located at around 50 km from Šibenik. Once you land, you can take a taxi or a pre-organised transfer directly to Šibenik or you can take a shuttle bus to the main bus station in Split (25 km away) and from there take a bus to Šibenik. The ticket for the shuttle bus is around 30 kn = 4 euros.

Another option is to take bus number 37 to Trogir (around 3 euros) and from there take a bus to Šibenik (there are a little bit less frequent than from Split though).
