Stari Grad ferry port
Stari Grad is a town on the island of Hvar located on its western side, in a nice bay. The ferry terminal is not located in the town centre, but around 2 kilometres west from it.
Getting to and from Stari Grad port
Stari Grad is a small island town and it’s ferry terminal is located a 2.3 kilometres from it. If you’re staying anywhere in the centre of the town you have a nice walking path between the city and the ferry terminal, you of course also can also take a taxi or a bus from the bus stop in Stari Grad. If you’re staying anywhere else on the island of Hvar, it’s pretty easy to reach Stari Grad by bus. The main bus stop in located in the centre of the town.
Getting from Stari Grad to Split airport
If you need to get to the airport in Split, you have a total travel time of about 3- 4 hours, ferry crossing from Stari Grad to Split is about 2 hours 30 minutes, from the Split ferry terminal you then have 30 minutes by taxi or if you take the airport bus you have waiting time for next departure plus a travel time of 30 minutes.
From Stari Grad to Hvar town
When the ferry arrives at the port in Stari Grad, bus to Hvar town and other places on Island Hvar are waiting, tickets for the buses can be bought at the bus, driving time to Hvar town is about 25 minutes. From Hvar town to Stari Grad buses depart in do time for passengers to reach the next ferry.
Stari Grad port facilities
As already mentioned, Stari Grad ferry terminal is located a few kilometres from the town centre. At the ferry terminal itself, there aren’t many facilities: a bar, a supermarket, a kiosk, etc. For anything more that you might need, you can go to the town centre.
