Ferry Split to Bol (Brac)
With Bol on Island Brac being one of the popular island locations in the Adriatic, it is no wonder that the Split to Bol ferry connection is very popular. In June, July, August, and September there are up to 5 daily fast ferries (foot passengers only) connections between the cities.
During the winter season, there is one daily connection. Meanwhile, it is possible to do a day trip from Split to Bol. You could spend a day on the famous Zlatni rat (Golden Horn) beach. The sailing time with the catamaran is around 1 hour. Once in Bol, you will be dropped off at the port in the center of town.

Split-Bol Ferry Prices 2024
3 carriers operate on the route Split-Bol. These are Jadrolinija, Krilo – Kapetan Luka, and Krilo Shipping Company. Catamaran prices range from approximately 9-20 euros, and the ticket price depends on the carrier and the departure time.
My tips for the trip from Split to Bol
- As you can see in my photo below, there are options to sit outside, but please note this is not possible on all departures. The number of seats in the outside area is limited, so arrive early. The ferry from Split to Bol departs from berths number 6 or 7 which is on the first peer towards the Riva. (Obala Lazareta)
- From the drop of location in Bol, you can walk, take a mini train or a boat to the Golden tongue beach, I would personally recommend, you either walk or take the train, on the way back you should then take the boat. (Reason, you will see more stuff)
FAQ
The sailing time from Split to Bol is about 1 hour.
The price difference is due to the different carriers. The Jadrolinija route 9603 is a partly-financed state line, operating the whole year. Krilo is not a private company with its own price list.
There is an option of taking a bus from Split to Bol. The bus drives with the ferry from Split to Supetar, so as a bus passenger, you should not worry about ferry tickets. Alternatively, there is also the option to hire a fast boat taxi, but that is quite expensive.

When traveling with the Krilo catamaran, it is possible to bring a bike, but there is only space for a few bicycles so you need to book in advance. Alternatively, you can take the car ferry from Split to Supetar, on which you can bring it without any problems.
Do I have to pay an additional fee for large suitcases on the Split to Bol catamaran?
As a passenger, you are allowed to bring up to 20 kg of luggage. If you have more than that you can pay for extra luggage if there is space on the fast ferry.
