With Bol on Island Brac being one of the popular island locations in the Adriatic, it is no wonder that the Split to Bol ferry connection is very popular. In June, July, August, and September there are up to 3 daily fast ferries (foot passengers only) connections between the cities. During the winter season, there is one daily connection.

The price difference is due to the different carriers. The Jadrolinija route 9603 is a partly-financed state line, operating the whole year. Krilo Shipping is a private company with its own price list.
There is an option of taking a bus between these two destinations. The bus drives with the ferry from Split to Supetar, so as a bus passenger, you should not worry about ferry tickets. Alternatively, there is also the option to hire a fast boat taxi, but that is quite expensive.
