With Bol on Island Brac being one of the popular island locations in the Adriatic, it is no wonder that the Split to Bol ferry connection is very popular. In June, July, August, and September there are up to 5 daily fast ferries (foot passengers only) connections between the cities. During the winter season, there is one daily connection.
Meanwhile, it is possible to do a day trip from Split to Bol. You could spend a day on the famous Zlatni rat (Golden horn) beach. The sailing time with the catamaran is around 1 hour. Once in Bol, you will be dropped off at the port in the centre of town.

The price difference is due to the different carriers. The Jadrolinija route 9603 is a partly-financed state line, operating the whole year. Krilo Shipping is a private company with its own price list.
There is an option of taking a bus between these two destinations. The bus drives with the ferry from Split to Supetar, so as a bus passenger, you should not worry about ferry tickets. Alternatively, there is also the option to hire a fast boat taxi, but that is quite expensive.
To see the exact location from where the catamaran departs, you can check out the map of the Split ferry port. (Note, port authorities might assign a different berth, so always check directly at the port in Split)
When travelling with a Krilo Shipping catamaran, it is possible to bring a bike, but there is only space for a few bicycles so you need to book in advance. Alternatively, you can take the car ferry from Split to Supetar, on which you can bring it without any problems.
