Boarding Bari port
Taking a ferry from Italy to Croatia means travelling from the Schengen zone to outside the zone, which means you have a passport and customs inspection at the port in Bari. The port is located in the centre of town and can not be missed, regardless of which direction you arrive in Bari from there are signs guiding you to the port, but the “Italian” system is of course not the most logical one in the world so here is how you get to the Dubrovnik ferry the right way
- What you should find is the main port entrance, if you use GPS this should take you to it ‘Varco Della Vittoria Porto di Bari’ from here you follow the road, till you see signs on your right hand mentioning “Check-In” which is on the left-hand side, where there is a big parking area, where you park the car and buy your ticket at the Jadrolinija desk or if you bought your ticket online you show your ticket/voucher and get a boarding ticket.
- Once you have your boarding ticket you can continue to the ferry, which is about 2.5 km southeast of the check-in area, which means DO NOT drive back to the port gate, but in the opposite direction.
- The ferry should be located at Molo S. Vito where you will enter a gate with the car.
