1800 tourists celebrated New Year in Losinj

According to the last available data from Mali Losinj Tourist Board, approximately 1807 tourists spent New Year’s Eve on Losinj island.
That’s a little bit over half of the tourists from 2 years ago.

Last year, when the control of international travel was very rigorous due to COVID-19, just 207 people stayed on Losinj island.

During the new year “long weekend”, from December 30th to January 2nd, 5067 tourist stayovers were noted. Just for comparison, notice how at the same time interval two years ago, there was 11.025 night stays in Losinj. In 2020, there were just 727 night stays.

Regarding 2021 statistics for New Year’s Eve, 3055 stays were in camps and 1722 stays were in hotels. Regarding nationalities, most of the night stays were by Slovenians (1755), Austrians (1675) and Germany (1033). For comparison, most visitors in 2020 were from Croatia.

Regarding the whole of 2021, Losinj had 2.051.061 visitors, which is 85,36% the traffic in 2019, the last year before the COVID-19 pandemic.
