Brac Island – More overnight stays in January compared to last year

Optimistic news is coming from the island of Brac. The Split-Dalmatia County Tourist Board has published data on tourist traffic for January this year. According to the consolidated data, 6,087 arrivals and 30,691 overnight stays were realized in the past month.

Compared to January 2020, only 32% of arrivals (18,907 – 2020) and 51% of overnight stays (60,042 – 2020) were realized in the county.

When it comes to Brac island, according to a report by the county’s Tourist Board, 252 guests stayed on the island of Brac in January. The largest number of arrivals was in Supetar, where 142 arrivals were recorded. Of that number, 120 are domestic arrivals and 22 foreign. In second place in terms of the number of arrivals is Postira, where 57 arrivals were realized, 43 domestic and 14 foreign. It should be noted that the Hajduk team was in Postira from January 7 to 15 to prepare. In the area of Bol in January, 33 tourist arrivals were recorded, 19 domestic and 14 foreign. There were 11 arrivals in Sutivan, 6 in Selce, 2 in Pučišća and only 1 arrival in Milna.

As for overnight stays, 2,152 were recorded on Brac island, which is a significant increase compared to the number of overnight stays from January 2020, when there were 1,109. In the first place is Supetar, where 959 overnight stays were realized, while in the same month last year 440 were recorded. In the area of Postira, 467 overnight stays were realized, and for comparison, in January 2020, only 75 overnight stays were recorded. Bol had 254 overnight stays in January, which is slightly lower than the data from last January when 303 overnight stays were recorded. A higher number of overnight stays was recorded in Selce as well, as many as 114, compared to 61 overnight stays from January last year.
