Jadrolinija represented Croatian tourist offer at the tourist fair in Rimini

At the 58th edition of the specialized fair for business audiences in Rimini, TTG Travel Experience, Jadrolinija also presented its offer, along with numerous renowned representatives of the Croatian tourist offer.

Participation in this type of fair is of great importance for Jadrolinija as it opens the opportunity to get acquainted with the latest trends in the tourism industry and exchange experiences with professionals and experts from around the world. Also, the fair in Rimini, which stands out as the most important meeting place for tourism professionals in Italy, is attended by a large number of agents, hoteliers, tour operators and carriers. It all gives Jadrolinija an exceptional opportunity to enter into new business collaborations and strengthen the brand on the Italian market.

After the successful summer season of 2021, which began the recovery from the pandemic effects in the previous year, new business collaborations and knowledge exchange continue the aspiration to achieve the results of the record 2019.

Soon we will be sailing to the islands in autonomous electric boats

At the end of 2019, the European Commission presented to the public the European Green Plan. Its main goal is to make Europe the first climate-neutral continent by 2050. This is a sufficient incentive for many innovative companies to place products on the market that will meet the set goals of the European Commission.

Croatia is also moving towards the implementation of the European Green Plan, which could soon introduce a completely innovative, “green” transport to the island.

Namely, the initiative “Autonomous electric ships for smart islands and cities” will be officially signed next Monday, October 25, at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Naval Architecture in Zagreb. The initiative was initiated by the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Naval Architecture, the Technology Transfer Center, the Nikola Tesla Innovation Center and the technology company iCat.

It is the production of fast electric passenger catamarans for inter-island passenger transport. The vessels will be 17 meters long, 7 meters wide, will accommodate 94 passengers, and will sail at a speed of 30 knots.

iCat will present a technologically superior catamaran, conceived as an ultra-light vessel. The ship, they say, is intended for inter-island ferry lines according to the suburban transport model, connecting islands and cities into a single whole.
