Croatian carrier takes over the popular catamaran line connecting two coastal cities

Since last week, the shipowner Krilo – Kapetan Luka, with the fast passenger ship K. Eclipse, has taken over the transport on the state high-speed line 9141 Pula – (Unije – Susak) – Mali Lošinj – (Ilovik – Silba) – Zadar and vice versa.

At its 10th session held on 20 July 2021, the Management Board of the Coastal Shipping Agency adopted a Decision on the termination of the Contract on public transport on this line, concluded on 8 December 2017 with the shipping company Catamaran Line d.o.o. from Split due to non-performance of transport in accordance with the agreed conditions.

The shipping company Catamaran Line d.o.o. from Split operated the line until July 22, 2021. The Coastal Shipping Agency conducted an urgent procedure for the selection of shipowners in accordance with the Liner and Occasional Coastal Shipping Act (Official Gazette 33/06, 38/09, 87/09, 18/11, 80/13 and 56/16) who, on the basis of a contract for the performance of temporary transport on that line, will perform transport until the selection of the most favourable bidder on the basis of an open public procurement procedure.

Public transport on the state line 9141 will be performed from 23 July 2021 by the shipowner KL from Krilo Jesenice by fast passenger ship (HSC) with a capacity of 440 passengers.

According to the new sailing schedule, the ship will depart from Pula at 7:00 am.
