Rijeka → Novalja Catamaran

The fast ferry from Rijeka to Novalja is the fastest way of travelling between the two cities. The popularity of this route is increasing over the years. That is mainly because of the popular Zrće Beach which attracts numerous partygoers to the island of Pag during the summer season, and Rijeka is one of the mainland cities from where you can board the ferry to this destination.

The route is operated by Jadrolinija fast ferry in July and August. There is one departure at 6:15 pm every day except for Sunday when the departure is at 5:45 pm. The arrival time in Rijeka varies between 9:15 pm and 10:15 pm, depending on the departure time and the stops in between.

Accordingly, the travel time for this route is between 3,5 and 4,5 hours, depending if the ferry stops in Veli Losinj and Rab along the way.

In Rijeka, the catamaran departs from the port which is in the centre of town close to the bus station and train station. In Novalja, the catamaran arrives in the centre of town, which is about 5 km from the Zrce Festival beach. 

An alternative to the catamaran is to take a bus from Rijeka to Novalja the bus crosses with the ferry from Prizna to Zigljen and then continues to the bus station in Novalja which is located between the city centre and the Zrce beach.
