Dubrovnik recorded a million overnight stays in June

According to the eVisitor data, 1,029,182 overnight stays were realized in Dubrovnik from the beginning of the year to June 25, 2022. That is an increase of 411% compared to 2021, according to the Dubrovnik Tourist Board.

In the same period, 324,117 arrivals were realized, which is an increase of 415% compared to the same period in 2021. At the same time, foreign tourists made 289,745 arrivals (595% more than in 2021) and 944,783 overnight stays (526% more than in 2021), while domestic tourists made 34,372 arrivals (62% more than in 2021), and 84,399 overnight stays (67% more than in 2021).

From January 1 to June 25, 2022, the most numerous tourists in Dubrovnik were from the United Kingdom, the USA, Germany, Croatia, France, Ireland, Bosnia and Herzegovina, the Netherlands, Spain and Poland. Compared to the record year of 2019, from the beginning of 2022 to the end of June, it is about 63% of the realized tourist traffic.

According to the types of accommodation, from the beginning of the year to June 25, 169,049 arrivals were realized in hotels (441% more than in the same period in 2021), and 92,592 arrivals in private accommodation (375% more). There were 579,848 overnight stays in hotels (an increase of 493%) and 334,769 overnight stays in private accommodation (an increase of 349% compared to the same period in 2021).

Currently, 18,237 tourists are staying in Dubrovnik, which is 154% more than in 2021 and 83% of tourist traffic on the same day in 2019. The most numerous guests are from the United Kingdom, the USA, Croatia, Germany, Ireland, France, Norway, Finland, Spain and Poland.

However, many tourists decide to extend their stay by visiting some of the islands in the Dubrovnik archipelago, such as Sipan or Mljet. Therefore, Dubrovnik – Sipanska Luka, and Dubrovnik – Sobra is one of the most popular ferry routes.
