Dugi Otok

Dugi Otok Trail will take place in March 2022!

It’s definitely not early to start preparing for the Dugi Otok trail 2022!
After being postponed due to COVID-19 in 2020 and 2021, it looks like one of the most beautiful trail races will take place in March 2022.

All runners and lovers of nature are invited to come to Dugi Otok, the largest of the North Dalmatian islands. It’s an island of contrast – wild and breathtaking cliffs of Telašćica Nature Park, silent, sandy coves surrounded by untouched nature and the clear blue sea – all the reason why Dugi Otok is a nationally significant landscape.

Dugi Otok has a rich historical and cultural heritage evident in the archeological sites all over the island dating from prehistoric times. There, you can find the remains of Liburnian forts, graveyards, ancient Roman villas, and pre-Christian and Middle Age churches.

If you’re wondering what makes this race different from so many others, Dugi Otok will convince you it’s perfect for outdoor activities. At the finish line, you’ll be welcomed by a fair of local products and the traditional fešta (party). In case you didn’t know, Dugi Otok’s parties are famous for their great atmosphere, tasty food, and donkey races. Also, they last until dawn!
