The extension and expansion of the port of Prigradica in the Municipality of Blato is underway

BLATO – The Port Authority of Dubrovnik-Neretva County has obtained a legally valid building permit for the project of extension and expansion of the port of Prigradica in the Municipality of Blato.

The acquisition is planned for the extension of the existing breakwater, a new breakwater facility with an underwater sill, and the construction of a secondary breakwater.

This investment is extremely important for the water area there because the existing breakwater is not sufficient to protect the area and accommodate vessels during strong winds.

Equally, preconditions will be created for the acceptance of vessels of public maritime transport and the acceptance of the safe stay of excursion vessels. The estimated value of the project is HRK 110 million.

The project of upgrading and expanding the Port of Prigradica is one of the port infrastructure projects successfully developed by the Dubrovnik-Neretva County. Let us remind you that the construction of the New Port of Korčula-Polačište Port, as well as the Maritime Passenger Terminal in Vela Luka, is underway.
